Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

MASSACHUSETTS – December 07, 2011 – Rhode Island Health Information Management Association (RIHIMA) has joined Barry Libman Inc.’s affiliate program for selling the course Anatomy & Physiology for Coders.

RIHIMA, a non-profit organization, is a component state association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

With approximately 100 active members and an additional 50 certified non-members, RIHIMA is committed to excellence in the management of health information for the benefits of patients and providers.

“Barry Libman’s Anatomy & Physiology course, which we are pleased to offer, is an important tool for training those who seek ICD-10 preparedness and increase efficiency amongst their medical coding staff,” states Candie Collins, Central Office Coordinator for RIHIMA.

Barry Libman Inc.’s Anatomy & Physiology for Coders affiliate program provides State Associations with everything necessary to promote this course to their members.  When a member signs up for the course, affiliates automatically receive commission. Affiliates can use the program to develop an ancillary revenue stream andaugment existing on-premise seminars, webinars and audio training programs.

The Anatomy & Physiology for Coders was developed to educate medical coders preparing for transition to ICD-10-CM and -PCS. The 12-week course provides a comprehensive and complete review of the major body systems, as well as coverage of common diseases and disorders, frequently prescribed drugs, and common laboratory tests.

The course uses the textbook and supplemental CD, Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology by Donald Rizzo. Also included are lesson notes, multi-media videos, interactive educational games, and full-color anatomical drawings to amplify course content. Multiple quizzes and comprehensive weekly assessments assure mastery of the material.

As an online course, students can access Anatomy & Physiology for Coders 24/7.

The course has received prior approval for 24 continuing education units (CEUs) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and 12 continuing education units (CEUs) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
